CEO & Co-Founder

Matt is CEO and co-founder of Delafield Energy. Matt sets the vision and strategy for the company. Under Matt's leadership, Delafield Energy has developed thousands of acres of energy projects across the Southeast and mid-Atlantic. Matt holds a BS in Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler. On weekends, he enjoys playing tennis and golf.

Tom Delafield

COO

Tom joined Delafield Energy in 2017. He oversees all project development, permitting, and origination. Tom holds a BA in Public Policy from UNC. On weekends, he enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling.

Steve Drew

VP Development & Strategy

Steve joined Delafield Energy in 2024 and has over 20 years in the utility and energy industry. He’s held leadership roles across North American RTO/ISOs focusing on transmission, renewables, and battery storage. Steve holds an MBA from Indiana Kelley and enjoys reading, running, and outdoor activities in Colorado.

Kayla Marshall

Project Manager

Kayla joined Delafield Energy in 2022. She oversees utility-scale solar and BESS projects across the Southeast. She holds a BS in Sport Administration from Louisville and an MBA from UNC. On weekends, she cheers on the Warriors and walks her dog.

Amanda Fornelli

Manager – Origination PJM

Amanda joined Delafield Energy in 2025 as Manager of Project Origination. She holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an MBA from the University of Southern California. Outside of work, she enjoys listening to music, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

Majed Alshanteer

Associate Project Manager

Majed joined Delafield Energy in 2023. He guides solar projects from origination through permitting and engineering, managing landowner relations. He holds a BA in Environmental Studies from UNC and enjoys cooking, gardening, and basketball.
